Biography:

Yvette Alway BPsych (Hons) is a DPsych (clinical) candidate and a registered psychologist. She currently works at the Monash-Epworth Rehabilitation Research Centre. Since 2010, she has been coordinating a National Health and Medical Research Council funded project investigating motivational interviewing with cognitive behaviour therapy for anxiety and depression following traumatic brain injury (TBI). Her submitted doctoral thesis examined the frequency, nature and course of psychiatric disorders following TBI and the influence of individual and family factors on psychological adjustment following injury. She has presented her research findings at a number of national and international conferences, won several awards and published peer-reviewed papers in leading rehabilitation, neurotrauma and psychiatry journals.
