Non-invasive Brain Stimulation: Opening up New Horizons in Neurorehabilitation
Sarah Zandvliet is a physiotherapist and graduated in 2013 cum laude for the research master clinical and fundamental human movement sciences, VU university Amsterdam. She is currently working as PhD student at the VU medical Center Amsterdam, The Netherlands. She is involved in two research projects, POTENTIAL, POstural feedback ThErapy combined with Non-invasive TranscranIAL direct current stimulation in patients with stroke, and EXPLORE stroke, Exploring plasticity after stroke. These projects aim to relate cortical activity and clinical outcome after stroke to improve both functional predictions and seek for new methods to augment gains in stroke rehabilitation.
