Ambulatory Measurement of Posture and Movement in Daily Life After Acquired Brain Injury
Dr. Ryan Bailey obtained his master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis in 2008. He worked in acute, subacute, and rehabilitation settings until 2011, when he returned to Washington University to pursue a PhD in Movement Science. For his dissertation, Dr. Bailey developed a novel methodology to quantify upper limb activity using wrist-worn accelerometry, which has been applied to chronic stroke populations. Currently, he is an Advanced Fellow in Geriatrics at the Atlanta Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where he studies secondary stroke and cardiovascular disease prevention through lifestyle behavior interventions.
