Congress Language
The official Congress language is English.

Registration
Please see the registration information and return the registration form with payment by deadlines specified.

Included in Congress Registration Fee:

  • Congress registration includes plenary and program sessions, Congress materials, refreshement breaks, luncheons, and welcome opening ceremony, concert, social dinner and closing ceremony.

    Not included in Congress Registration Fee:

  • Pre-Congress seminars and workshops are not included in the Congress registration fee. Please see the registration information for a complete list of the seminars and workshops, their fees, and to register for them.
  • The final Gala Reception and Dinner is not included in the Congress registration fee. Tickets to this event may be purchased for 250.000 Lire per person (see registration information).

    Payment
    Payment should be remitted in Italian Lire or Euros to Stilema. Bank draft charges must be paid for by the registrant. Payment by credit card is encouraged. The Congress accepts VISA, MasterCard, and Diners Club only.

    Cancellation Policy
    To cancel your registration, please notify Stilema in writing and enclose a copy of your confirmation notice. Refunds will be made if cancellation is received in writing by 1 April 2001. A fee of 100.000 Lire will be charged for processing of cancellations. Requests for refunds received after 1 April 2001 will not be made, except for emergencies. Refunds will not be made for no-shows.

    Hotel Reservations
    Hotel reservations are managed by Stilema, 10123 Torina, Via Cavour. 8, Italy. In order to guarantee your hotel reservations, please indicate your credit card information in the space provided in the hotel reservation information. Confirmation of reservation will be sent to you by Stilema. Payment for hotel accomodations will be settled directly with the hotel.

    Disability Arrangements
    Congress management will make every effort to accomodate any disability needs. Please indicate special needs on the registration form. Congress hotels have a limited number of guest rooms which have wheelchair accessibility. Please indicate on your registration form if you will require this type of room - they will be allocated on a first come basis.

    Insurance
    For your own security, you are advised to obtain travel insurance to cover your travel expenses and stay in Turin. The Congress organizers will nto assume financial responsibility in the event of illness, accident, or other unfortunate circumstances.

    Airline Travel to Turin
    Turin Caselle Airport lies 16 kilometers (10 miles) from the city centre. For additional information, you may visit the airport website http://www.airport.turin.it/.

    Weather
    It is spring, weather in Turin in May is mild, but can be rainy. Average temperatures are 15-25 C (59-77 F) during the day and 10 C (50 F) at night.

    Gratuities
    Gratuities are not compulsory, but 10% tip is welcomed, especially in restaurants.

    Customs
    There are no special requirements to enter Italy.

    Congress Venue
    The Congress will be held in the Lingotto Conference Centre. The cost from the Conference Centre Lingotto to City Centre by taxi is approximately 20.00 Lire (10 minutes) and by bus (numbers 1, 18, 34, and 35) 1.5000 Lire (20 minutes).

    Exhibits
    Trade and educational exhibits will be located in the Lingotto Conference Centre. Exhibitors of medical and pharmacological products related to treatment of brain injury, facilities and services for persons with disabilities are invited to exhibit.
