The 3rd World Congress on Brain Injury provides a forum for health care professionals from around the world to share information, experiences, and perspectives regarding brain injury.
At the Congress, you will be trained in the new evidence-based guidelines on the management of severe brain injury, on the prognostic indicators in mild traumatic brain injury, and on the clinical management of penetrating brain injury. You will also learn about advances in brain injury diagnosis, treatment options, rehabilitation issues, and current research findings.

Thanks to recent break-throughs in research and advances in treatment technologies, we have more exciting information to share than ever before. This Congress will inspire and encourage attendees to proceed with their own efforts on behalf of persons with brain injury.
Over 45 internationally renowned professionals and leaders in their field have been invited to speak on timely subjects such as:
· Prevention strategies
· Ethics of care management
· Medical management of severe brain injury
· Pharmacological interventions
· Epidemiology of mild brain injury
· Guidelines for diagnosis of mild brain injury
· Gene therapy
· Emerging imaging technology
· Sports and brain injury
· Findings from the Central European TBI Data Bank
Morning and afternoon plenary sessions will be followed by break-out workshops that enable attendees to learn more in areas of special interest.

For the first time in the history of the World Congress on Brain Injury, it has combined with the annual symposia of two collaborating organizations -- the Canadian Brain Injury Coalition and the Brain Injury Association, USA.

The 3rd World Congress will be the largest multidisciplinary assembly addressing issues specific to brain injury. More than 1,000 registrants representing fields ranging from medicine, research, education, and employment are expected to attend. Attendees come from around the world, including North America, Europe, South America, Africa and Austral-Asia. The program plenary sessions will be conducted in English with simultaneous French translation.
