Biography:

After finishing medical School at the University of Ulm, Germany and residency in Anaesthesiology at the Bundeswehr Hospital Ulm, Dr. Kulla started a special training in prehospital emergency medicine. He also passed the European Diploma in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care of the European Society of Anaesthesiology (DESA) successfully.

Beside his normal duty he has been several times on different military missions (e.g. KFOR (Balkans), ISAF (Afghanistan), ATALANTA (East Africa), EUTM Mali (Mali), UNOMIG (Georgia)). Since 2012 he is working as a senior physician in the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care of the Bundeswehr Hospital Ulm, Germany. Beside his duty as an anaesthesiologist in the operation theatre he has a leading function in the Emergency Department. He also works at the HEMS Christoph 22 Ulm, Germany on a regular basis. Medical education of students in their last year of training is another focus of his daily duty.

Dr. Kulla is 2nd speaker oft the Section “Dataset Emergency Department” of the German Interdisciplinary Association of Critical Care Medicine (DIVI). He is a member of the Section NIS (Emergency Medicine and Intensive Care of Severely Traumatised Patients) of the German Society of Trauma Surgery (DGU) and a member of the working group “Emergency medicine” of the German Society of Anaesthesiology (DGAI).
