Biography

Gertrud Wietholt is a remedial teacher specialized in the behavioral impact of traumatic brain injury (TBI) of children and adolescents and its effects on the families and their life after hospital.

In 1985 Dr. Wietholt was the Foundation and management of the children's neurology-aid Münster e.V. She developed special consulting concepts for affected families.

In 2011 she co-founded the, Bundesverband Kinderneurologie-Hilfe e.V. and is still working as the leader of the board with Michael Radix and Michael Beimdiek (TBI). In several places in Germany they build counseling centers for families with children and adolescents.

Gertrud Wietholt is in collaboration with the government to find a good way to establish the family centers.

Furthermore she is a member of several working groups in the health sector and also a member in scientific projects.
