Biography

Chiara Veredice is a child neurologist at the Bambino Gesú Children Hospital.

She was born in Italy in 1975. She obtained her degree in Medicine and Surgery in 2000 from Catholic University of Sacred Heart in Rome. Afterward, she had a residency in pediatric neurology in 2005 and a PhD in Developmental Neuroscience in 2009, also from Catholic University in Rome.

During her residency program she developed her experience in epileptic disorders management and EEG analysis. Her scientific work was focused on the epileptic encephalopathies of the first years of life, and on the early thalamic injuries involvement on the development of continuous sharp waves during slow sleep.

In 2009 she started working in the Neurorehabilitation Department of the Bambino Gesú children Hospital.

Since 2011 she is the head physician of the UDGEE (Unit for severe disabilities in developmental age) of Bambino Gesú children Hospital, located in Santa Marinella. The ward is dedicated to the evaluation and treatment of congenital and acquired diseases of child nervous system. She is involved in the implementation of rehabilitation techniques by means of robotic devices.
