Biography

Catherine Aaro Jonsson is a Swedish neuropsychologist, working with rehabilitation of children and adolescents with acquired brain injuries since 1995. Together with her team she meets mild to severely injured patients and their parents, from early stage, in-patient rehabilitation, to long-term integration into the community. She published her thesis in 2010, on “Long-term cognitive outcome after childhood traumatic brain injury” and had the privilege of a post doc year at Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, Melbourne, Australia. She is a member of the Swedish network for pediatric ABI rehabilitation, and a boardmember of IPBIS, International Paediatric Brain Injury Society. Catherine is currently involved in a three year national project, working for improved longterm rehabilitation and support after TBI, leading the group concerning rehabilitation for children.
