Biography:

Barbra Zupan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Linguistics at Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario Canada. She received her PhD in Communication Disorders and Sciences from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 2008.  Her research interests focus primarily on how we perceive and integrate visual and auditory cues of emotion in people with and without traumatic brain injury. In addition to her publications on this topic, Dr. Zupan has also published work on the effectiveness of treatment programs for affect recognition for persons with TBI and also the perception of visual and auditory cues in persons with hearing loss.
